The Nether Laboratory was a nether hub area built by Matt on the Castles & Casinos & Villages server. An expansive area of white concrete and nether quartz, it acted as the portal link to Matt's Dark Oak Village.

While the main floor area went largely completed, the Laboratory name comes from a planned second floor expansion that would've seen dedicated brewing areas and other scientific experimentation zones, but was never undertaken besides a sample room designed for display.

The main area had four branching areas that linked up to other server features. The East and West wings travelled to other bases in the server. The North wing connected a staircase that travelled down to the Nether Refinery. The South wing connected up to the nether fortress that also ran through parts of the East wing, which resulted in occasional blaze and wither skeleton spawns.
