The Super Highway was a project created by Matt for the Road to Nowhere server. A massive ring of black concrete road, it was intended as a hub for amenities for Matt's base adjacent to his main Base of Operations. However, due to limited server appeal by the group, only a few amenities were created.

Amenities

Nether Island

An island dedicated to Nether travel sat at the Northwestern corner of the highway, and consisted of netherrack and a lava waterfall. It connected up to the highway via a temporary stone brick tightrope that was ultimately never upgraded. In addition, the lava waterfall was planned to land into a pond of more lava, where water had naturally spawned, to imitate an invasion of nether feature - this was only half completed by server end.

The Flaming Chicken

The Flaming Chicken was a white concrete building resembling a chicken with a flaming head, which housed Matt's Automatic Chicken Farm. It was small in scope but effective in use, creating cooked chicken that nourished Matt the entire server.

Unfinished Blue Concrete Area

A blue concrete build, centered across from the Nether Island and Flaming Chicken areas, was in the process of being created but was never finished. The planned build was a sphere-styled structure resembling an Earth that would operate as a map room when entered. Only two measuring circles made of blue concrete were ever assembled before the server's conclusion.

Trivia

  • The Nether Island can be seen as a spiritual successor to Nether Mountain, a portal project that existed on the server prior and was also created by Matt.
