TNTable Server Onboarding
Welcome to the TNTable Server! This is an invite-only server for friends, and friends-of-friends. If you are reading this it means you have been invited, we are very excited for you to join us on our server! Please read through this page, it has some important information to help you jump right in and feel at home. There are also links to additional information such as custom advancements, crafting recipes, and plugins added to the server. Refer back to these whenever you need.
Additionally, this website is our very own wiki. This is where we gather and store server history. It is entirely player-contributed, and admittedly incomplete. However it is being added to when we can. If you wish to contribute, get started with the Contribution Guide. That gives you everything you need to know to get started. Anyways, let's get started with the rules.
Server Rules
Here are some basic rules for the TNTable Server Community.
Play with respect
The server is quite laissez-faire, so long as all players participate with respect and empathy. Respect does not just apply to other players, but to their play-styles, builds, and ideas. Please treat others the way you wish to be treated. Players invest their time, resources, and creativity into the server because they enjoy it. We'd like to be respectful of that.
PvP/Combat/Griefing
Combat or harming others and destruction of other player's work is strongly discouraged. Any unwarranted harm or damage is not permitted. PvP in designated areas, or when agreed upon by all parties is permitted and encouraged, however consent may be revoked at anytime, and that decision must be respected. Self-defence is an acceptable use of force so long as it is an appropriate response, not excessive.
Admin Authority
Admins maintain final say in all matters. Appeals to moderation decisions will always be heard and considered to a reasonable degree. Appeals will be heard by the whole moderation team and deliberated to ensure that no single moderator holds the decision alone.
FAFO
Be responsible and considerate. Your actions may have consequences, and sometimes they may not be favourable. Accept it and move on.
FAQ
Here's some answers that aren't strictly rules, but does fall under playing on the server.
- Can I build large redstone farms? I am worried about lagging the server.
- The server should be pretty capable and we do not preemptively impose limitations on builds or farms beyond what the game limits are. We will start investigating if we do start experiencing server lag, and we may seek a remedy for the culprit farm or build. The goal is to come to a resolution together.
- Is Elytra allowed?
- Yes, it is, we even have a datapack that allows you to create armoured elytra!
- Can I fight bosses, even one-time bosses?
- Boss fights are encouraged, though if you are going to be fighting a boss that can damage areas please ensure you have enough space to accommodate it. Leave plenty of room between your fight and the nearest built-up area. Also, be sure that you are capable of killing it.
- If you cannot please alert other players and the admins. Be warned that if we step in there will be some light teasing.
- One-time boss fights are fair-game. This map has been up for over a year as of October 2025. If we want to fight it again the admin team can respawn it.
- Boss fights are encouraged, though if you are going to be fighting a boss that can damage areas please ensure you have enough space to accommodate it. Leave plenty of room between your fight and the nearest built-up area. Also, be sure that you are capable of killing it.
- Can I build at spawn?
- Spawn and the area around it is prime land for development. We like to encourage shops and community buildings around spawn. Personal builds and bases are welcome, however there may be lots of development around you, limiting your building space. It is advised that you venture out at least 200-300 blocks to build bases.
- Group projects are a great way to work together to create a beautiful spawn area, as well as appointing a person or planning committee. A healthy, active, spawn village is the goal.
Getting Started
Here are some tips on getting started on the server, from your first time joining, to establishing a base.
First steps
- First time joining the server
- When you first join, take a moment to get situated. You should receive a book with some information (admittedly the book may be a touch out of date). Feel free to begin exploring.
- Server Map
- We have an online server map that could be handy for finding the perfect spot to build a base. Check it out here: https://smp-map.tntable.ca/. The map also shows player locations and any warps or public homes. It updates in near real-time.
- Establishing a base
- Find your spot to establish a base, be sure to check that you have enough clearance from other players so you, and they, have room to grow. From here it is all up to you, so enjoy and have fun. Introduce yourself on the server to others, we are all friendly and love meeting new people.
- Check out the creative server
- We also have a creative server, this is great for quickly jumping back and forth in to test build ideas, block combinations and anything you desire really. You can even use it to just build if you'd like. Though, most of the current player base uses it as a testing bed for ideas and builds at the moment.
- Here's some commands to get you started:
/server creativewill take you to the creative server, and/server smpwill take you to the survival server.

Going Beyond
We have added a few datapacks and plugins that introduces QoL and exploration improvements. Below are some pages with information about taking advantage of them.
Last two things; we have a Discord server where updates are posted, such as planned downtime, news, etc... It is also a great place to meet the other folks who play on the server and see what they are up to. We enjoy sharing photos of builds or weird/cool things we encounter on the server. To join the Discord please ask the person who invited you to the server for the link.
Finally, we have an online server monitoring page, handy if you are experiencing issues and want to check if there is something going on. Planned downtime and maintenance time will also be present here: https://status.tntable.ca.
