The Guardian Farm was an automatic mob grinder created by Matt on the Chicken and Iron server. The farm was built using a modified interior of an ocean monument that had been drained from both the inside and out. It allowed the server to farm for prismarine shards and crystals, as well as raw fish, although it's unknown how utilized it became.
The farm was drained using a combination of sponges and sand. Prior to MC1.15, sponges could not be dried by placing them in the nether. Therefore, a nether smeltery was created outside the nether portal that led to the Guardian Farm.
